Movie Experience - 1 of many

Found many movie clips to get into. This one is from Taxi Driver (1976). Sometimes the shot I took and the clip I found have a way of working without much re-working. This was worked so well that I decided to put myself behind the desk to really fit into the scene.

Recently found this RE-CUT trailer from Mrs. Doubtfire that really shows how with a new soundtrack and some editing effects, the mood of the film changes completely.

And who would have guessed that PBS could REMIX Mister Rogers' "Garden of Your Mind" to make him more relevant in reaching today's audience.

Moving Experience 2

Sometimes it seems like waiting for the subway to stop...

...is as easy as trying to catch a cab during rush hour.

Moving Experience

Since I already posted a shot watching water boil,
and I couldn't figure out how to wait for paint to dry,
I decided on looking at the wallpaper fall.
After a quick Google search on "wallpaper fall", I think
I'll have another future shot waiting for the leaves to drop.

Imitation is the sincerest form

Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know
The song has taken off as a pop hit, due in part to the buzz of the artsy stop motion video. Over 200 million YouTube views and still climbing to be one of the all-time hits.
Walk off the Earth - cover version with 5 people playing one guitar has even spawned it own parodies, like this one by The Key of Awesome

Wackiness continues to be out there - sometimes it's really out there!

"Kicked Your Monkey" — A Bad Lip Reading

Sam Tsui - A cappella cover

Going forward

Some of you (61+ million) may have already been RickRoll'd  - an internet meme which redirects the hyperlink to Rick Astley's song "Never Gonna Give You Up". Even 4+ million have learned the technique of How To Rick Roll Somebody. Cruel and unusual punishment, especially if you hate the song.

As in any trend, interesting variations have sprung up based on the process. And if you actually liked "Never Gonna Give You Up", I'm sure you'll find one of these either annoying or extremely funny.
Mc Roll'd

Czech Roll'd

The trend continues to even get MashUp'd even further - with variations of Nirvana - Rick Roll'd .
"Here we are now, entertain us."

Looking back

I remember the 3-D Dancing Baby back in the early days of the World Wide Web.
So, it's only appropriate that I dance along with Baby Cha-Cha today.
Sure, you're all thinking that this is really fascinating and interesting stuff.
Well, there's always bird watching if you're getting boarded.

Getting into the picture

Looking at the Nyan Cat on YouTube, you wonder how it has ever reached 73+ million views. If you really want to look deeper, you can find other version of this PopTartCat that last 10 hours, even 100 hours in length. It's a pop cultural phenomenon on the internet that either makes you shake your head in disbelief, or jump on board for a brief ride. Hear how KIDS REACT TO NYAN CAT

The start of it all

My interest in animated gifs started over 25 years ago.
I realized that given the right machine, program and artwork,
you really didn't need a camera to make things move.
It moved me.

Car Wash

After washing the car yesterday,
I decided that in order to get the best result
I should spin dry it.

Now the hard part,
getting enough turtle wax for the finish.

Endless Ride

Amusement rides at the Daffodil Festival are getting better each year.
There was a little kid ride that actually offered by a weekend pass.

It was either the dream of every parent, or the nightmare of every kid.
Or maybe the other way around and around and around...

Time flies

They say that time flies when you're having fun.
So I guess it's fair to say that time stands still when you're not.

But that doesn't stop the gears from turning,
thinking about the times when you can bring fun back.

The Glass Heart

Some may wonder how this Glass Heart was broken?
Some may wonder if this Glass Heart was just cracked?
Some may wonder how this Glass Heart was actually created?

If I told you, you probably wouldn't believe me.
Email me if you want the answer to any of those questions.

One Step Closer

Is the Hanford Hop actually a
Quantum Leap of Faith in Time Travel?
Testing the theory to see if you can actually go back in time.

Basing the theory, in part, on the following:

For my Mom & Dad

A Dog's Life

I worry when he's not feeling well
And not eating all his food.
He's not his happy frisky self
And he's in a sleepy mood.

I fuss and cater to his whims
Because he's getting on in years.
I hope when I get to be his age.
Someone will scratch behind my ears.

Animated Gifs .06 - Supply Chain

After taking this cellphoto shot @ Walmart I began to imagine...
The endless amount of savings... if they didn't run out of stock.
