Fire in the Hearth

Warmth of a dancing fire in the hearth.
Other times it's just takes a little bit of warmth to make you feel like the coldness will leave.
A roaring, dancing fire is a start. Messages from loved ones warm the cockles of one’s heart and induces that innermost glow of one’s being. Seeing and hearing the call of the mourning dove in the ruins gives hope to the phoenix rising from the ashes.

Ice on the Pond

Ice on the pond seems to be unwilling to leave.
Sometimes winter just doesn't want to leave the area. It's been an awful feeling here in Pennsylvania dealing with the coldness and knowing that Punxsutawney Phil didn't get it right this year.  "Groundhog Day 2013 is in the Books! An early Spring is coming."
Guess I'll have to throw some more wood on the fire again tonight and cuddle up with a good book.
